Manchester united to find out on Sunday if Dortmund will accept their offer for Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Manchester united will have to wait till the weekend to know if their 27 million pounds offer for Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be accepted or not by Dortmund.

The midfielder who has just one year left on his current contract with the German side is interested in leaving the club with united a potential destination.

But Dortmund has been insisting they are not ready to sell the player this summer. The club prefers he stay with them till his contract end and leave on a free transfer in a year’s time.
United who are reportedly interested in signing the Armenian have submitted an offer in the region of 27 million pounds and will have to wait till Sunday to hear from Dortmund if they will accept it or not.


Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watze admits this could change the club’s stance and a decision will be made by Sunday night.

“The situation is now different. Manchester has made a much improved offer.
“In situations like this there are always a lot of different things to consider and in the end at one point we have to make a decision.

“And as we are back in training on Monday we will decide at the weekend. I have contacted the relevant people and we will weigh things up at the weekend.

“And then the board will make the decision definitely at the weekend.” Watze told Sport Bild
