Manchester united 1:0 Aston villa match report

Aston villa were relegated today they lost away to Manchester united in the Barclay’s English primier league. The villains who needed at least a draw in today’s game could not produce a performance that would have kept them in the top flight. A goal from united youngster Rashford was enough to relegate Aston villa to the second division of English football.

United were the better side from the sound of the whistle and could have gone in front early on had Mata not miss a clear chance. The Spain midfielder was put through on goal by Rashford but the midfielder miss it.  With that chance gone, the game was less entertaining until the 32nd minute when Antonio Valencia   collected a long pass from Rooney and send a low cross into the 18 yard box for youngster Rashford to tap home to give untied the lead. The goal which was Rashford’s  seventh goals in 12 matches in all competition later prove to be the only goal in the game, but was enough to send Aston villa to the second division.

United had a lot of chance to double the lead in the second half but could not take them. Rashford who was brilliant all through the time he was on the pitch miss a chance later on. Mata later force a fine save from Aston villa goalkeeper after he was given a pass from a corner kick which Aston villa players fail to defend, but their goalkeeper save them with a fine save.
Rooney was replaced by lingard as united push for more goals. In the 76th minute, united made a second substitution by bringing on Antonio Martial to replace Rashford.

In the 82nd minute, Aston villa substituted Richardson and bring on Gestede and they look for equalizer. They later had a good chance in the 84th minute when their headed corner hit the bar.
With this result, united are still in 5th position and Aston villa are now relegated from the top flight.
